Dear Friends,
Greetings from Friends of Siddha Medicine.
As you are aware, FSM is an organisation that tries to protect and promote Siddha and related traditional systems of medicine. FSM organised the previous Four National Conferences on Siddha Medicine for All Ages in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. The Fifth National Conference on Siddha Medicine for All Ages is to be conducted at Chennai in December, 2007.
More than 1000 delegates participated and 500 research papers were presented in the previous conferences. Apart from this many special lectures were delivered by eminent people. Several stalwarts of Siddha Medicine were conferred honorary titles. Post conference tours to Courtallam, Papanasam, Manalar and Kuthraimozhi Theri were organised by FSM and utilized by many delegates.
As traditional medicine draws its knowledge from all branches of science and arts any worker irrespective of the field of interest has something to contribute.
Workers in folklore, tribal medicine, literary research, medicinal plant cultivation, conservation, pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, phyto pharmacology as well as traditional medicine practitioners, students, teachers and researchers of Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, pharmacy and science are most welcome to participate.
